Meeting our Maggie!

Miss Margaret Sue Holmes was born November 26th, in Orem, Utah. We didn't get a chance to meet her until this month. I got to meet her and love on her before and after my Caribbean Cruise (more on that later), and Russell got to go and be there the weekend of her blessing. Grandpa happy to be part of her special day!
Happy, happy sweet girl on her special day. Giving her daddy some of her sweet coo's!
Happy Family...LOVE THEM!
When I arrived for dinner before our cruise, my favorite little Henry John was busy helping his mommy with dinner preparations.
My first chance to snuggle up with the princess! she is soooo sweet!
Nothing like this face and big hugs and giggles to make a gramma feel loved!
Stephanie and Brendon had me and my mom and my cousin Lisa over for dinner as we were coming and going on our trip. Loved spending special time with them. Thank you Steph for going out of your way for us!! I needed a dose of these babes and loved every minute!

Great Grandma Geri Pitt holding our sweet girl
My turn for photo op's!
This boy just knows how to give grins, and loves....miss them so much already!!

In the Night

My family are night talkers. Talkers, snorers, moaners, but mostly talkers. When the kids were little, when they would talk in their sleep, you would think there was legitimate conversation happening. When we realized that wasn't the case, we would ask "Are you 'in the night' ".

Cody came home last weekend for a few days, as he leaves for Honduras in a few weeks for the summer to paint the interior of the new temple. Exciting for him. Hard to believe he will have been home from his mission there for two years come June.

Anyways, he got a severe case of the Flu, which sent him to bed with a high fever, and multiple other symptoms. He missed his ride back to Utah. In his ill state he has gone between Skyler's queen size bed, and the Family room couch.

A few nights ago, I was up for an hour in the middle of the night, as most menopausal women can relate, with both Cody and Skyler asleep on the sectional, with me on the computer. When my boys began their speaking "in the night"

Skyler was telling some people they were not welcome, asking them why they even thought they could be "here". He was upset one minute and then laughing the next. I kept asking him if he was okay, and he would just respond with a mumble or a "huh?" Yup...In the Night!

About ten minutes later, Cody starts speaking in Spanish for a sentence or two, and then.."Heavenly Father, please guide our paths back to thee, bless us with the Tranquility and Peace that we seek to help us to know that Thou Art There. We ask for Thy Guidance and reassurance that we are walking the path that would be pleasing in Thy sight. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

"Cody", says I, "are you awake?" Nope "In the Night".

Ahhh the differences of our children, and the interesting things you hear "In the Night".

Seal Beach Saturday

We wanted a day together we looked at the calendar, and we took it! Between Work, Bishopin' Travelin', family, we have been pretty busy, so we took this day for each other! We stopped to see my dad in Fountain Valley in the Rehab care facility for a while then off to Seal Beach.
One of the last wooden piers. We walked thru the shops on Main St. first, then got to the pier. We walked below, then headed up to walk and enjoy.
