This has been quite a week. Russell had cataract surgery on his right eye, which went perfect. But in his lack of visual acuity, our ward has reached out to take care of their Bishop, who takes care of them. Our young women and their leaders came over on Tuesday evening (I unfortunately was in bed with a migraine, missing photo opps), they planted flowers, and painted shutters and our front door. Big thank you, and then our dear friend Richard Nagle a true giver extraordinaire....Rich came to start the never ending project of trimming our VERY overgrown Palm Trees, which haven't been touched in over 10 years.
He trimmed one on Tuesday, and then again yesterday. This is he in the boom trimming away. 2 down, 3 to go! He is a horticulturist, and he says it is therapy for him. Grateful that my headache could be his therapy! Our Grant and Jordan came over after work, and helped for about 4 hours, loading the trucks and trailers with the fronds. What a job this is. Then this morning, the High Priest group showed up to do some yard work, and more clean up.
It is different being on this end of the service, but SOOOO appreciated, and so needed right now. LOVE our WARD and our WARD FAMILY!!
