First thing this morning to start our holiday, Russell wanted to go surfing. Grant was the only young Holmes man that was up for the adventure. So after getting up a bit late, we met Grant and Julia at Huntington at the River Jetty. The guys were getting ready, and Grant said, "hey mom, you know how our bathroom has pictures of family at the beach, well I am the one who surfs most, and there is no picture of me in there."
So I made sure there were a few photo opps of two of my favorite surfers (wish we could include Brendon here too). So Julia's moondoggy,
and my big Kahuna...heres to you!

Well, now I know why you weren't at the pancake breakfast. What fun. I can't believe that Russell still surfs! What a cool dude! He rocks....I can barely get John in the pool once a year.... I showed him this post but all he said was Hmmm. I love to go to the beach but I don't think John will be joining me there any time soon.
I can proudly say that I caught the Gidget references. I love that movie!! Wish I was close to Huntington. :( We live about 3 miles from the world's coldest beach. Hope to visit Corona soon! :)
I havent been to the beach yet this summer. Looks like the boys had lots of fun!
I also caught the gidget references!! haha, i guess I've watched it too often. one question, how cold was the water in the morning because at night it was FREEZING?
the water was 60 degrees, and the boys were glad they had their full wetsuits. Russell wants to go more often, cuz he could feel it for sure!
Yey!! Grant finally gets a picture in the bathroom with the other cool surfer dudes! :) We had fun seeing you yesterday. You need to send me pictures of yesterday!! Love you sister-sister!
