Tuesday night date with my man!

I am at my desk, and the phone rings, I answer and hear the voice of my Prince Charming! He asks me on a Tuesday mind you, for a date. "I was thinking "say he, "of going down to the beach for dinner, and to walk around". "Absolutely" says I. So after the work day is over, we head off to Huntington Beach, for dinner at Ruby's at the end of the Pier.
I grew up in Huntington Beach, and Russell in Garden Grove. We both spent many a day and evening there on the beach, and it is on this beach where he proposed to me. On the way there I asked, "how come on a Tuesday?" and he said "With everything that has been going on in our lives, I haven't had you to myself" , (Ahhhhh, I know!)So we strolled down the Pier, and I asked my more reserved hubby if it would embarrass him too bad to take a picture of me on this bench, he was okay with it. We watched some surfing and some seagulls.
Then we made it to the diner, and got right in. When we came out it was dark, and the coast was lit up. we didn't grow up with the HB Coast all developed, it was a much simpler time.

It was also Tuesday night on Main St. Where there are performers selling their CD's, and a produce mart, and store selling their wares on the sidewalks.
We had to walk down on the shore before we left, and put our toes in the sand. Thank you my sweetie for a spontaneous romantical evening, holding hands and having quiet moments together. I love you!

How fun! I love going to Ruby's. Although I have to admit that my favorite part about the pier is the fabulous shopping. I'm glad you guys had fun.

Ahh, so sweet. I am for sure going to have John read this post! I love going to Ruby's on the pier.

It won't do any good though...I grew up near the beach and love going there... but John doesn't. He doesn't like the sun, sand or clod water. He told me once that if I really wanted to go for a stroll on the beach at sunset (so romantic)he would drive down with me and I could walk on the beach while he sat in the car and read..... uhh, I think he was missing my real intent....wait a minute, I have an idea, you and Russell can take me with you the next time you go....
...WHAT??? You don't think it would be as romantic with me tagging along??? Oh well,

I'm so impressed! That's so incredibly sweet! Since your husband is a little bit more quiet than you, I havn't got to know him as well, but from the sound of things, you guys were made for each other! Now how many people can say that after being together for so long!

The last comment was actually from me. I didn't realize that I was signed in under him. Nazar proabably knows Russell enough to already know all the great things about him!

Looks like you had a wonderful date night! You two make such a sweet couple. Todd and I are like Jack Sprat and his wife. I am short and squat and he is rail thin and tall. Never mind, we go together like peas and carrots!

PS...I look forward to a time when my kids don't need babysitters so a date doesn't cost double the price and we can be more spontaneous.
