There was a time when all 8 kids were home, that we spent more on our grocery purchases each month than our mortgage payment. We did about a gallon of milk per day, and that was limiting the milk drinking to breakfast only. Since it is just Russell, Skyler and me, I have actually had to pour sour milk down the drain twice in the last few months.
Today Russell and I went to Sam's Club, left with under 100 dollars spent, and everything we needed for the week. Kinda crazy...kinda good...but truth be told...miss the full house days.

just think though, more kids out of the house equals more grandkids!
I miss the house full days too, although if you had told me that I would back then, I would never have believed it! xxoo
We go through about a gallon of milk a day and my boys are little still! I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when they are teens!
and we miss your home cooking momma!
I know what you mean. When we were first empty-nesters I would look at items at Stater Bros. that I no longer needed to buy and feel sad, "no, we don't need you, cookies", "no, you are too big, bag of cheese", "no ice cream", NO. NO. No. BooHOO
I know exactly what you mean. It really is different once they are grown up and gone.... but like Breana said... the one blessing of having them married and out of the house is grandkiddos.... and you have darling ones.
I miss coming to church.I miss seeing your sweet smiles. Being home in bed is getting really old. I wish these darn ribs would hurry and heal.
Hugs, Lura
